Saint-Tropez Opens 5 Free Outdoor Gyms Across Public Parks
Saint-Tropez residents use public parks and waterfront paths for equipment-based workouts at no charge.
How we reported this

Saint-Tropez maintains six free outdoor fitness circuits in its parks and along the shoreline, with the newest stations added at the end of 2025.
The summer influx of visitors and locals has increased demand for these no-cost sites as private studio rates in the port area now average €25 per session. Municipal records show the program began with two locations in 2022 and expanded after a 2024 budget vote that funded equipment upgrades on existing green spaces.
The circuit inside Parc des Lices features pull-up bars, dip stations and agility ladders spaced every 20 metres along the central path. Equipment was installed in October 2024 near the entrance off Rue Gambetta. A second site runs along the Sentier du Littoral footpath that starts behind the Citadelle and continues toward Plage des Graniers, where users find resistance bands anchored to fixed posts and balance beams set into the sand.
Additional routes near the old port
Further along the waterfront, a shorter loop at Jardin de la Gloriette includes medicine-ball slams and step platforms. The city added shade sails above the stations in May 2026 to handle midday heat. Both Parc des Lices and the Sentier du Littoral remain open daily from sunrise to 10 pm with no entry fee or reservation required.
A March 2025 municipal wellness report recorded 3,200 registered users across the six circuits, up 28 percent from the prior year. Maintenance logs list quarterly inspections last completed on 15 June 2026.
Visitors should arrive before 9 am to avoid peak use near the Vieux Port. Bring water and check the posted safety signs at each station before starting any routine.
